Crystal Raygoza

Hi! My name is Crystal Raygoza, and I am proud to call Tucson my  hometown. I am currently in my first year in my role and am excited  to continue learning, growing, and connecting with the campus  community.

 

I am a first-generation college graduate and a proud two-time University of Arizona alumna. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Family Studies and Human Development, with a minor in Spanish, and then completed my Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Policy. Coming from a mixed-status family, my own educational journey has shaped the way I view the importance of access, resources, and a strong sense of belonging on a college campus.

 

Outside of work, you can find me weightlifting, trying out new restaurants, traveling, exploring museums, and listening to music. I love learning and finding opportunities to explore and experience something new. At home, I have two dogs who keep me busy: a cheagle and a dachshund!

 

What I enjoy most about my work is the opportunity to connect with students and help them find a sense of belonging on campus. I am passionate about connecting students to resources, supporting student organizations, encouraging student leadership, and helping create spaces where students can build community and feel that they truly belong. As someone who was once navigating college as a first-generation student, I understand how meaningful it can be to have someone in your corner who can help you find your way. I am excited to be that resource and support for students as they create their own college journey.

 

If I could be a burger topping, I would be an avocado! It is versatile, adds a little something extra to everything, and brings different ingredients together, which is how I show up in my work by connecting people, ideas, and resources to help create a stronger campus community.
